The day kicked off with Gayatri Vyaas leading a lively and interactive cultural quiz that set the tone for the fun-filled afternoon. Participants were challenged to guess iconic festival foods and songs associated with various cultural festivals, sparking memories of cherished celebrations. It was incredible how something as simple as food and music could trigger such vivid recollections of our unique cultural experiences., The quiz shifted gears to explore state festivals, where Gayatri introduced discussions about the significance of festivals celebrated across India, shedding light on their rich history and vibrant customs. As the questions flowed, so did the enthusiasm, with everyone eagerly sharing their own stories and experiences tied to these celebrations. The Power of Poetry: A Journey Through Words with Sarathi Meetu
One of the most magical moments of “Sukoon Ka Shaniwar” came from a poetry session led by Sarathi Meetu. Sarathi, a lawyer, Reiki master, and passionate poet, shared her love for the written word and the emotional power of poetry. She beautifully described poetry as a journey to the heart, where words resonate deeply and offer a space for healing, connection, and self-expression.

Throughout the session, participants shared their own poetic creations, and we celebrated the works of legendary poets. Gayatri read some of her self-written poetry from the 90s, proving that creativity only grows stronger with time. Gitanjali shared a cherished family heirloom, Diwan-e-Ghalib, which sparked heartfelt discussions on how poetry connects generations and traditions.

Vidya recited her touching poem, And the Angel Was Born, capturing the essence of motherhood and the joys of raising a child. Sarathi Sivakumar recited Shakespeare’s famous lines from Anthony and Cleopatra, reminding us all of the timeless beauty and wisdom in poetry. A fun Visual Poetry Challenge followed, where participants guessed famous poets based on visual clues, leading to engaging discussions about the role of poetry in Bollywood and beyond.
